Directly outside you can find nice cafes and restaurants, small bars, and tons of amenities/ shopping opportunities on either Turmstrasse down the road or directly opposite at the newly refurbished Brewery complex which is now a shopping mall with restaurants, offices, etc. For a more local experience and great food and food stalls, you can go shop at the Arminius market hall which is also close by. From this apartment it's close to the main train station, the government district with all of its sights and Berlin's biggest park called Tiergarten.
