Mirroring the district Vorderer Westen, Wehlheiden extends south along Wilhelmshöher Allee on an axis between the districts Mitte and Bad Wilhelmshöhe. Wehlheiden has a high residential density. Attractions include the predominantly old buildings, green spaces, and the fact that there are only few commercial establishments. Here, one lives close to the city and comfortably in an almost village-like atmosphere.
Residents meet regularly at the weekly market on Wehlheider Platz and on Saturdays at the flea market on Stockplatz. Once a year, the popular Wehlheider Kirmes also takes place there.
