Steinbach (Taunus) is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district in the southern Hessian Rhine-Main area.

Steinbach is located at an altitude of 166 m above sea level in the Vorder Taunus, at the foot of the Taunus Nature Park, about 7 kilometers from the Frankfurt city border and 7.5 km southwest of Bad Homburg vor der Höhe. In the northwest direction, the Altkönig and the Große Feldberg are visible, and in the southwest, the Odenwald can be seen on clear days. To the south rises the Frankfurt skyline, and in sunny weather, the view extends to the Staudinger power plant in Großkrotzenburg near Hanau.
