Zollstock is a lively, down-to-earth neighborhood in the south of Cologne, close to the city center but significantly more relaxed and affordable than Südstadt or Sülz.
Several bus lines and tram line 12 stop right outside the door, taking you to Barbarossaplatz and Neumarkt in a few minutes. The University of Cologne is about 15 minutes away, and the main train station about 20.
Everything for daily life is within walking distance: supermarkets, drugstores, bakeries, and shops on Höninger Weg as well as in the Zollstock Arcades, plus a medical center and fitness studio. The Zollstockbad swimming pool is three to four minutes on foot, and for jogging or relaxing in the green after work, the Vorgebirgspark and the Outer Green Belt are just around the corner.
