The Inner Old Town is the historic city center of the Saxon state capital Dresden. It is now again one of the most attractive residential areas of the city. Well-known buildings such as the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, the Semperoper, the Residenzschloss, the Catholic Court Church, the Kreuzkirche and numerous other buildings are located here. Excellent transport connections are an advantage of the city center location. It can be reached from the motorway in less than 10 minutes and has a dense network of tram lines. The Postplatz, the most important hub in the tram network, is located nearby. Only two of the twelve tram lines do not run through the Inner Old Town.
Facilities for daily needs such as doctors, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, schools (including the international school), kindergartens and restaurants are also located in the residential environment.
