The Dahl courtyard settlement is located in a small valley. The simplest and most straightforward means of transport here is clearly the car. But even without a car, there is good transport connection: about 2 minutes on foot from the Richterhaus there is a bus connection that goes towards Solingen-Mitte or Solingen-Ohligs (main station). In the Solingen-Ohligs district is the main station, which offers easy routes to surrounding large cities such as Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Remscheid, Cologne or Essen. Due to its historical significance as a place where court was held in the 17th and 18th centuries and where many judges lived, it is one of the most important courtyard settlements in its surroundings. The Richterhaus located in Dahl, built in 1558, is one of the verifiably oldest, almost completely preserved buildings in Solingen.
