Friedrichstadt is a district of Dresden located on the left bank of the Elbe and belongs to the Altstadt administrative area but forms its own district. Friedrichstadt is directly connected to Dresden's city center and thus represents a very interesting living space. In Friedrichstraße in Friedrichstadt (which, by the way, is not named after the same Friedrich), directly opposite the Friedrichstadt Hospital, is one of Dresden's most important cemeteries, the Old Catholic Cemetery. Friedrichstadt is characterized by the listed hospital, the few remaining buildings of the Vorwerk, and the technical town hall at the Dresden-Friedrichstadt marshalling yard.
