Das Bahnhofsviertel liegt zwischen Hauptbahnhof, Mainzer Landstraße, Taunus-/Gallusanlage und Untermainkai. Es liegt sehr zentral und dennoch nah am Main. Das Bankenviertel hat sich von Osten und Norden her ins Bahnhofsviertel "hineingefressen".
