The Senior Residence Langenhorn was extensively modernized until early 2023. This includes the renewal of windows, thermal insulation, bathroom renovation, kitchen renovation, stairwell, and the outdoor facilities. Furthermore, the Senior Residence Langenhorn was complemented by a new building.

Residents live in their own barrier-free apartments in the Senior Residence. In addition, the facility offers day care, a common room, an in-house restaurant, a physiotherapy practice, needs-based services, as well as a residential facility with outpatient care that enables residents to remain in their familiar environment even in the event of needing care.

The Senior Residence Langenhorn is located in a green and quiet residential area by the Tarpenbek, in the diverse district of Langenhorn. The location is ideal for both nature lovers and city dwellers.

The very good public transport connections allow quick access to shopping facilities such as the "Herold Center" shopping mall in Norderstedt. The nearby surroundings also offer several shopping options. There is a larger shopping street at the Ochsenzoll subway station, as well as a weekly market at Schmuggelstieg.

The "Ochsenzoll" subway station is within walking distance in a few minutes. The U1 line and various bus lines run regularly until late evening to the city center, about 30 minutes away, and back.
