Terms of use
1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of rentroomgermany.com and to every contract you conclude with us there. The provider is Future Gate Company LLC, 30 N. Gould St., Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, under the brand Rent Room Germany; the full details are in the imprint.
2. What we offer
We show rental apartments in Germany offered by owners, agents and property managers, and we help people moving to Germany to rent one of them. We are neither the landlord nor a party to the tenancy agreement. The rent, floor area, availability and every other detail of an apartment come from the provider and may change; we do not warrant that they are correct, that an apartment is available or that it will be let to you.
The search and the contact page are free of charge. Services beyond dealing with your requests, such as accompanying a viewing or preparing a tenancy agreement, are provided only under a separate agreement with you.
3. Account
You send contact requests about an apartment through a free account; the first 3 are free of charge. Your details must be accurate, and each person has one account. Keep your password secret. We may block an account that is used in breach of section 7. You can have your account deleted at any time by email to info@rentroomgermany.com.
4. Subscription
With a subscription you send unlimited contact requests, and we deal with your requests first. Plans, terms, prices and the exact scope are shown in the overview of plans before you order. All prices are final prices in euros and include statutory VAT where applicable.
The contract is concluded when you complete the order on Stripe's payment page and Stripe confirms the payment; we then activate the subscription immediately. Before paying you expressly request that we begin the service at once; we keep this declaration. The price of each term is collected in advance through Stripe at its start, using the payment method you choose there.
At the end of each term the subscription renews automatically for the same term unless you cancel it beforehand. You can cancel at any time, through »Cancel contract here« on the subscription page and at the foot of every page or by email to info@rentroomgermany.com: during the first term with effect from its end, after a renewal with one month's notice. We confirm receipt of your cancellation by email straight away. Whatever you have already paid for the time after the subscription ends is refunded pro rata. The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.
5. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a right of withdrawal in accordance with the following information. A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
Right of withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Future Gate Company LLC, 30 N. Gould St., Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, email: info@rentroomgermany.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Early expiry: Your right of withdrawal expires when we have fully performed the service and only began performing it after you expressly requested, before paying, that we begin before the withdrawal period ends, and confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed.
6. Model withdrawal form

7. Use of the site
Do not misuse the site: no false details, no requests in someone else's name without their instruction, and no automated retrieval that burdens its operation.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, meaning one whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely, and then only up to the typical, foreseeable damage. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected; otherwise liability is excluded.
9. Changes
We may change these terms for the future. For a running subscription, changes apply only if you agree to them.
10. Final provisions
The law of the provider's seat, the State of Wyoming, USA, applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
