Bad Doberan with its district Heiligendamm is a town in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It lies between the Baltic Sea resort Kühlungsborn in the west and the Hanseatic city Rostock in the east. Bad Doberan is a beautiful town in the hinterland of the Baltic Sea. Architectural features:
This project was built by the company MAKRA-Bau using timber frame construction with prefabricated elements. The flat roofs of the building are all greened and store rainwater for up to 3 days before it flows into the public rainwater drainage and at the same time provide compensation areas for birds and insects. The buildings are heated with an air heat pump and additional photovoltaic system with storage as underfloor heating. Each apartment has a decentralized residential ventilation system with heat recovery. The balconies all face the courtyard. It was decided to choose most windows floor-to-ceiling, thus creating bright, friendly rooms.
