Between the Goldener Reiter, the historic Königstraße and Albertplatz, you will find numerous galleries, local handicrafts and exceptional shops alongside great cultural offerings and a very diverse gastronomy scene. Special attractions of this area are the Königstraße, the only preserved Baroque street in Dresden, as well as the Hauptstraße, which due to its strong development is often referred to as the new center of Dresden.

Tram lines 3, 7, 8, 11 and 13 ensure ideal connections in all directions. Central transport hubs for local and long-distance public transport are Albertplatz and Neustadt station. There are also other S-Bahn stations (e.g. Bischofsplatz). Mobility by car is ensured by quick connections to the motorways A4, A13 and A17. Dresden Airport is located north of Neustadt and can be reached within about 15 minutes by public transport or car. The Neustadt area is characterized by its proximity to the Elbe and the adjacent Elbe meadows.
