A new building, the Cecilien-Carré with 272 apartments, is being constructed at Cecilienstraße, corner of Hellersdorfer Straße. The first construction phase with 128 apartments will be completed in autumn or winter, with the remaining construction work finishing by the end of 2028. The residential complexes are 5 to 7 floors high and offer 2- to 5-room apartments with sizes of approximately 41 to 97 sqm. Each complex is equipped with an elevator. Around 60 percent of the apartments are subsidized and allocated to applicants with a housing entitlement certificate. The roofs of the buildings will be extensively greened and equipped with photovoltaic modules. Tenants have the option to use the locally generated electricity by signing an electricity supply contract with the provider EINHUNDERT. The residential park includes 50 car parking spaces and 675 bicycle parking spaces.

The apartment is privately financed and will be rented exclusively to a 2-person household whose annual net income exceeds the income limits for a housing entitlement certificate (WBS). This means that persons who possess a WBS or would be entitled to one based on their income cannot be considered for allocation. The Cecilien-Carré is located in the Hellersdorf district. The Spree-Center with diverse shopping opportunities and a medical center is about a 3-minute walk away. Various playgrounds, daycares, primary schools, and a high school are also located near the Cecilien-Carré. In the immediate vicinity, there are also various sports fields and leisure facilities, including a bowling center, a swimming pool, and a fitness studio.
