The municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn is located in the southeastern district of Munich, the most populous district in Bavaria with approx. 350,000 inhabitants, surrounding the state capital to the north, east and south. The municipality with approx. 11,000 inhabitants covers an area of approx. 24 ha and is situated at an altitude of 585 m above sea level. It is located approx. 17 km southeast of Munich, in the Munich gravel plain and borders the Höhenkirchen forest to the east, and the municipalities of Grasbrunn, Hohenbrunn, Brunnthal and Aying to the north, west and south. Due to the proximity to the A99, the Munich motorway ring, as well as the A8 motorway Munich-Salzburg, the municipality has a very convenient location with quick access to the regional highway network. Munich city centre is reachable via the A8 in approx. 30 minutes after approx. 22 km, also by S-Bahn line 7, which runs regularly. The S-Bahn station is about a 7-minute walk away.
Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn offers educational facilities including kindergartens, a primary school, a secondary school and a grammar school. Shopping facilities and restaurants are also available in the municipality.
