Shared Room on a Beautiful Farm

We are Ann-Sophie, Björn, Doro, Lias and Steffen and we are looking for a new flatmate for our farm shared apartment starting mid-December, because unfortunately our current sixth flatmate has to leave for professional reasons.

Your future room is located on the mezzanine floor of our beautiful and huge renovated old building apartment. The room has plenty of sunlight and offers a fantastic view of the green fields and mountains of Lippe. With 23 sqm (plus a small storage room), you also have plenty of space to store all your favorite things. The apartment was completely renovated in 2025 and is energetically up to date. Despite the old building charm, you don't have to worry about energy costs, internet, etc.

Location
Our house is located on a very idyllic farm near Leopoldshöhe, which is no longer used for agriculture.

The apartment is rural and quiet but very well connected for a countryside location. The town center of Leopoldshöhe is about 1.5 km away: there you will find everything you need for daily needs (supermarkets, pharmacy, Rossmann, post office, etc.). Also, the train stations Sylbach (5 km) and Assemissen (6.5 km) as well as the A2 motorway are nearby, so you can quickly reach the surrounding cities Bielefeld (16 km), Bad Salzuflen (8 km), Detmold (17 km), Lemgo (15 km), Lage (7.5 km) and Herford (14 km). The bus connections from the market square in Leopoldshöhe (about 1 km) are also quite good for a rural area and will take you, for example, even on Sundays late into the evening to Bielefeld and back.

The immediate surroundings offer many opportunities for bike tours or long walks in the green, hiking in the Teutoburg Forest and of course canoe tours (in summer) and ice skating (in winter) on the farm's own pond. In autumn, there is fruit from the farm's own orchard. And next spring maybe the first big vegetable growing campaign will start... :-) So if you enjoy gardening or DIY, there is a lot of potential here to experiment and let loose.

Shared Apartment Life
We founded the farm community about 1.5 years ago. This includes, besides the shared apartment, our farm neighbor Madeleine, with whom two dogs and four sheep have also found a new home on the farm.
