Friedrichstadt is a district of Dresden located on the left side of the Elbe. It is characterized by the listed hospital, the few remaining buildings of the Vorwerk, and the technical town hall at the Dresden-Friedrichstadt marshalling yard. As one of the few intact streets near the city center, Friedrichstraße has, besides a baroque church, numerous residential buildings of this style that are under monument protection.
