Description
The historic red brick building has been used as an office building since 1907 by its builder, Julius Pickenpack, a Hamburg fish steamer shipowner. Almost 100 years later, his granddaughter had the historic building renovated and tastefully restored from 1992 to 1996. In this process, the attic was converted into an exclusive and individual attic apartment.
In 1996, the office building was awarded the Hamburg Facade Prize by the cultural authority at that time.
The south-facing attic apartment is unique and individually designed. It is located on the 5th floor of the building and has a living area of approx. 160 m² according to DIN and approx. 115 m² according to WoFIV (after deduction of the sloping ceilings).
With the gutting and modernization of the property, a noble, gallery-like attic apartment with 3 rooms, an open fitted kitchen, a full bathroom, and a guest WC was created. The floor is laid with light maple parquet. Highlights include the high-quality built-in wardrobes, the seating area with the magnificent view from the tower room, as well as the numerous shelves, which were custom-made for this apartment.
