In the residential quarter on Edisonweg, Gundlach is extensively modernizing existing buildings from the 1960s and 1970s. Planned measures include energy-saving actions to reduce energy demand as well as additional living space through building extensions.

We are working on:

New heat pumps: The heating will be converted to heat pumps, while retaining the existing radiators as much as possible.

Photovoltaic systems: The electricity for the heat pumps is intended to come from the building's own roof in the future. We are implementing this plan with photovoltaic systems.

Thermal insulation: All buildings will receive thermal insulation.

New floor-to-ceiling windows: These let in more daylight and make the apartments brighter.

Larger balconies: Barbecue evenings with friends? Reading a cozy book in the morning? Residents will have more space for outdoor time.

Extension by one full floor: How to create urgently needed living space without sealing additional valuable ground? In our quarter, we are creating up to 60 new apartments by adding floors to existing buildings.

This apartment is in the first construction phase: Expected completion late summer 2026.

A proper termination is initially permitted with effect from the end of the 15th month from the start of the contract due to mutual waiver.
