Furnished Room in 5-Person Shared Apartment on the Outskirts of Karlsruhe

Room
I am renting out a room immediately, preferably to students. One of my roommates is finishing his internship. The room is on the 1st floor.

The kitchen is quite well equipped and offers space for up to 6 people.

Equipment: deep fryer, microwave, mini oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove with oven

In the basement there is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, dryer (please use only in exceptional cases and for a fee of 2 €) as well as a second fridge and freezer.

There are two toilets, the bathroom has two sinks and a bathtub in which you can also shower.

Bicycles can be parked in the carport.

The garden is currently being newly landscaped. You are welcome to grill and have breakfast outside there.

Location
My house (a semi-detached house) is located in the district of Daxlanden, which is on the southwestern outskirts of Karlsruhe.

Daxlanden has a rather village-like impression. It is very quiet.

It takes three minutes to the tram, and another 25 minutes to KIT.

Daxlanden "offers" an Edeka, several bakeries and butchers. Basic medical care is also good.

The Kaufland is reachable on foot in 25 minutes (and I often drive there by car for shopping).

For nature lovers: From the house you can walk along the Alb (a small river) or in the Rhine meadows in the forest.

For fitness fans: an affordable and a very good (but very expensive) gym are very close.

Jogging is also great from the house and two swimming pools are just around the corner.

For Muslims: A mosque is very close by.

Shared Apartment Life
I will briefly introduce our shared apartment.

Claudia (me), 65, economist, working as a teacher, rarely at home. Occasionally I have visits from my grandson and adult daughters.

Family members in the house:

- Peany, a young black house cat who is allowed outside, usually friendly but sometimes wants to fight.

- my son Arthur (37) who has not fully recovered from a serious accident at the end of 2023 and has been somewhat handicapped since. He will probably move to assisted living at the beginning of 2027.

Many young people from all over the world who have studied in Karlsruhe have already lived in the house.

Currently I still have the following roommates:

I am an ex-smoker. Smoking is allowed but please at the open window or outside.

The house is located in a quiet residential area. Parties are basically to be held outside the house. Rare exceptions possible.
